Joining forces with Sports Direct’s agency DINK we created a prize giveaway for all those picking up their London Marathon numbers at the ExCel centre.
At 20 miles into a Marathon runners often face a sudden wave of fatigue often described as “Hitting the Wall”. We took this concept and created an interactive game where participants would smash through this wall and in doing so would win a prize. The top prizes being guaranteed entry to future Marathons.
We used Kinect cameras to track participants bodies - allowing them to see their hands and feet and break through the wall.
We created the signup iPad system, the main game in Unreal, a waitline system for the queues as well as an email that each participant would receive to confirm their prize.
Our teams sourced and installed all technology involved (LED Screens, iPads, Kinect cameras).
