An immersive motion graphics experience installed at NikeTown London to celebrate Air Max Day 2024.
FEEL THE UNREAL
To celebrate the release of the Nike Air Max Dn for Air Max Day 2024, Nike asked us to design, develop and install an immersive experience that would transport consumers into the world of the newest addition to the Air Max family.
UNIQUE SENSATIONS
The campaign theme for the Dn was "Feel the unreal', which aims to help people feel the unique sensation of air, something which we wanted to bring to life in a very vivid way through visual content.
A TANGIBLE SENSE OF AIR
We lined the sides of the store entrance tunnel with a series of integrated screens and created a series of unique 'air' vignettes based on the primary campaign video. On each screen, a unique 3D element from the shoe design is affected by air, whether it be inflated, deformed, or blown around. Each video involved simulations or soft-body-dynamics to create an almost tangible sense of air movement.
BRINGING THE UNREAL TO LIFE
OMM were responsible for both the content concepts for this installation including 3D modelling and animation, and the technology and installation of the video wall itself. Prototyping the wall at our bespoke OMM Tech Hub in Croydon, we installed the tunnel on 26th of March at NikeTown in London, bringing the "unreal" to life just in time for Air Max Day 2024.
