NIKE GIFTING GUIDE
Nike Gifting Guide is an interactive gifting platform released exclusively for the holiday season.
A NEW KIND OF GIFTING
Working in line with the Nike App and Brand Defining Moments teams, we designed and developed an interactive Gifting Guide where users could “Swipe” or “Randomise” their choices to find the perfect gift for themselves or a loved one.
A PERSONA FOR EVERYONE
Using WebGL and React, we created more than 40 animated 3D assets and a range of fun "personas" that represented fitness choices all the way to lifestyle and fashion.
DOUBLE THE FUN
The Guide offered users a choice of pathways; “Swipe and select” or “Randomise” their options to find the perfect gift. In the “Swipe” pathway, users would select the statements most applicable to their giftee's interests which we copy-wrote in-house. The “Randomiser” option would do this, well, randomly… but with a concluding three generic categories, rather than a specific avatar.
SEAMLESS SHOPPING
The project involved the creation of a microsite to facilitate consumer choices and integrated into the Nike App, offering Nike Members a seamless shoppable experience.
SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
The “Swipe” outcome would provide the user with an avatar which captured the essence of their statement selections in an animated character. Six were designed in total; The Super Fan, The Rising Star, The Record Breaker, The Fitness Flexer, The Style Icon and The Nature Lover.
ONE OF A KIND
The bespoke system was designed and developed by OMM. Not only were we responsible for the core concept but also created the design, UX/UI development, Motion, 3D and social assets. Partnering with the incredible Aura Studios, our vision for the personas was made a stunning reality.
