Technology sales manager

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Technically minded Sales Manager to head up a new venture in AV sales and Live events out of our London and Slough offices.

The successful Technology Sales Manager will come from a strong Audio-Visual background with experience in business development in technologies including purchase and rental of LED, AV and preferably experience in retail or live events.

OMM is an integrated digital services agency and has a proven track record in engaging with high profile clientele including Nike, Tommy Hilfiger and Oakley. We are looking for a Business Development Manager with technology sales experience to move into new areas of business including install and implementation of AV and sound technology in one or many retail stores or live event sector. Liaison and connection with production agencies who have digital technology briefs that they cannot fulfil without a technical partner. Installation and specification of technology in new areas including retail, events and exhibitions. Able to strategically identify key senior tech prospects, targets. Able to leverage existing contacts and cold calls as necessary to connect with target prospects.

 

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Increase the amount of technical installations through Agency partners.

  • Reach out to brands around technology installations in individual and multiple stores in UK and Europe

  • Solid understanding of how brands and businesses work.

  • Meets challenges and blockers head-on and proactively solves them.

  • Has high standards of work and impeccable attention to detail.

  • Solid skills in MS Office Suite, Salesforce and/or alternative CRM tools.

  • Team-oriented across all levels and functions.

  • Good connector and no fear when it comes to cold calling and building relationships.

  • Open-minded, inherently curious, and willing to share fresh perspectives in solving problems.

  • Able to see the big picture, thinks about the present and the future; explores possibilities.

  • Keeps a finger on the pulse of new and custom technologies.

  • Inputting into the overall marketing and promotion mix for creation of new asset

Desirable Skills

  • Sales experience in the Events sector

  • Sales experience in the Exhibition area (Technology in particular)

  • A little black book of known contacts in the IT or technology sector.

Essential Skills

  • Hardware technology sales experience in Audio Visual screens, LED screens and Live Events experience such as V Festival or TV show setups or large exhibitions

  • Proven success in new business pitches with blue chip international and /or local clients.

  • Comfort and ease presenting in a large group setting with confidence.

  • High detail reporting on and feeding back to the Senior team on meetings and new opportunities.

  • Knowledgeable and passionate about technology trends, events, short lived and 365 businesses within our industry.

  • Demonstrated passion to work in creating materials that can ensure efficient RFP and Proposal creation.

  • Previous experience with digital CRM and target sourcing tools.

  • Excellent knowledge of the latest digital business transformation and client challenges to strike up conversations with clients.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.
